What's everyone been up to? Weather has been great the last few days and hopefully for a few more to come.

Panda, I wonder- are you ever concerned with the NS overtones of wearing a Burzum shirt? I am aware of all the argument on both sides- More interested in what you actually think?

I am aware of Burzum being 'part' of NSBM, I don't tend to get bothered much by the political side of a bands idea, I just enjoy listening to the music.It's like as much as I hate Christianity, I'd still go about listening to bands if I liked their tunes (not that people would compare NSBM with Christianity much)
Like other bands who seem to be defined as NSBM I always tend to get into them from Paganism and reading various boards.

I have no idea if that makes any sense, or even answers your question properly, I can never express my reasons properly online

Okay, I agree that the music and ideology are unrelated, and Like I said am aware of both sides of the argument- but what I meant was whether that would affect your decision to be seen in it or not.
Plenty of the music I like is morally reprehensible, but I would honestly prob. try to avoid looking like a white supremacist (not that a burzum shirt would do that.)
I'm more interested in how we accept the imagery within tacit social laws, etc.

I geuss a good example is what happend with Thee Plague of Gentlemen's Steven Wackenier, TPG wrote some good tracks, but i cant listen to them much now with what happend, even tho "they" were good, the fact that what he did has kind of killed it for me.

Personally, if a band was singing about killing a minority in an obviously venomous, racist or similarly abhorrent way... rather than the usual HM comical way, then i'd very likely pass, no matter how good the music.

...but for stuff like Burzum, they guy's obviously a bit confused mentally and so I give them/him a pass. I dont know if i'd wear a shirt because i dont really like the aesthetic. looks good on others, but not for me, i feel like im trying to be a teenager, which at 35 is a bit much. if i wear band shirts in general then they're usually a bit more, dunno... less obscure art-wise, more surfy/trendy?

the music issue is a fine line. I mean, I love Reign In Blood, but if i believed in something called The Devil, I wouldnt believe in him/it, but then neither would Slayer.

I would never want to be associated with any NS idealogies, meaning I would never (knowingly) wear a NSBM or other racist bands merchandise.

The point of I only like them for the music is a fair one, but by parading the T-shirt around then other people who don't know you will likely tar you with the racist brush.

My girlfriend loves Graveland, and is only into it for the music, so recently in Oslo I bought her a Graveland T-shirt from the most KVLT and TR00 shop I've ever been to in my life. I felt slightly guilty for purchasing merch associated with that kind of music, but also pretty cool for getting my girl something she liked.

Most of that kind of black metal ist shiet anyway

Seems the website I ordered it from are being pissy right now and not responding to any of my messages I've left them.
Has anyone dealt with Plastichead records before? I've only done design work with a band who's had CDs in their distro so I have no idea :/

As for the futhark stones, they came today and the shop gave me some print outs of the history and how to read them
